聖基爾達中央公寓 (St Kilda Central Apartments)

Reception is not as advertised, says checkin between 2 and 6pm. No one in attendance. Waited outside for 30mins, and ended up calling them continuously after they said someone would be there in 10mins. No one ever came and eventually some one issued a pin over the phone after I told them we would have to use the planter pots for relief.  There was a spilt bottle of milk in front of the front door which curdled in the sun in front of the Card swipe. The elevator is in shocking condition. The toilet seat was falling off the toilet, the bathroom sink was clogged, kitchen sink loose and falling off, there is no working exhaust fan in the bathroom and it smelt bad, and the overhead stove exhaust has a light that wouldn’t turn off. The place clearly has had no maintenance for a long time and I’d like a discount or refund. Carpets in the lounge room filthy and sticky. And stains on the lounge furniture.  What a shocker for the money.

Adara St. Kilda was the perfect location for our needs, only about 300m from our function. As we are 2 friends, it's great that they offer two beds, although very firm mattresses. Room was small, but had all the required amenities and we were only there to basically sleep, shower and leave next morning. Handy to have supermarket next door for some real milk, snacks and brekky supplies if required. Amanda was super helpful, she phoned to confirm details soon after booking, explained the late check-in if required and arranged it for us as we were possibly going to be late. On earlier arrival she recognised my name and recalled our conversation and personalised the check-in experience using our names and discussion from phone call - a very nice touch. I would book again if I needed a place to stay in this area.

Genearlly good. But there are not too much restaurants nearby.
